I’ve been looking for a decent desktop calendar/to-do list that doesn’t require some massive application to load, or insane amount of resource usage. I found Rainlendar.

Rainlendar has a massive following, so there are many features and methods for using it that people can easily overlook. The free version allows you to use the todo list, calendar, download and create your own skins etc. If you go pro, you can sync it to your Google Calendar etc.

Of course there are many more to choose from just by visiting Customize.org but I like these pretty well.
Rainlendar has a nearly insignificant footprint, and has virtually no processor usage when sitting still. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
